We are living in a "discarded society", where even big and expensive products turn into garbage when they reach the end of their life or are out of use.

Sadly, waste that can be recycled or reused is left to the ground to decompose, or if it is non-biodegradable, they stay there forever. To help solve the problem, a team of experts created Sprout.

At first glance, Sprout is like other wooden pencils. There is no problem with these wooden pens: they can still be used for writing or drawing as usual. This special pencil is made of Ticonderoga but not with an eraser. Instead, Sprout's non-writing head contains seeds.

According to the Gizmag news site, the idea here is that when pencils are used and peeled again and again until there is only a short piece, it will be plugged into a small pot containing soil and watered. The container at the tip of the pen contains three tree seeds selected by the user and you can expect them to germinate later. There are 22 varieties including basil, artillery, marigold, cabbage and tomato.

This grain chamber decomposes after a few sprinklers and when the plant attaches its roots to the soil, a piece of pencil can be removed. Under proper conditions and carefully cared for, seeds will grow into mature plants.

Something that is nothing but a piece of pencil will throw away a living creature, which can refresh the office or adorn your own salad.

Over 100 pencils Sprout has been manually assembled but Kickstarter is hoping to mobilize $ 25,000 to be able to carry out mass production.

For up to $ 5 per tree, the Sprout pencil can provide an opportunity to connect you to nature in a very simple way.
