People fear death or shopping
Not only affirming that shopping therapy is real, experts from Michigan State University (USA) also discovered this action may stem from fear of sudden death of some people.

According to researchers, people who are materialistic often react more intensely than others to fear terrorism and war, so they tend to spend their time to help themselves regain balance.
Psychologists say that the rise of materialism in the world and the relentless shopping effect when stressed can be an overreaction because of fear of death from causes such as terrorism and illness disability and natural disasters.
Professor Ayalla Ruvio said: 'When things get too stressful, materialists take their shopping bags'.
