According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control, 100% of the provincial boats with more than 7,400 vehicles, nearly 27,600 workers have been called into safe shelters.

Thanh Hoa authorities said that heavy rain in the past 5 days has caused nearly 6,100 hectares of rice to be flooded, concentrated in the districts of Nong Cong, Tinh Gia, Dong Son, Trieu Son and Hoang Hoa; nearly 900 hectares of crops, more than 100 hectares of aquaculture in Tinh Gia and Sam Son districts are heavily flooded.
