Phong Le artifacts are more than 1,000 years old
On the morning of November 22, Da Nang City held a scientific workshop on 'Archaeological excavations and conservation plans for Phong Le relics'.

After nearly two months of excavation, archaeologists have collected 30 relatively intact artifacts and hundreds of bricks, tiles, pottery and stone of Champa origin. Cham foundations have revealed that this is an area with a number of large temples, coinciding with the records in the history of French scholars in the early twentieth century.
Most of the opinions in the workshop were: The objects excavated from Cham Phong Le tower date to more than 1,000 years. In particular, the excavated artifacts from Phong Le tower show the construction and carving techniques on bricks according to the technical traditions of the Cham people; in which the stone sculptures are technical, traditional religious content topics.
With a style that is both traditional and fragile, a breakthrough sign of a new artistic style, Cham Phong Le tower has valuable contributions to the understanding of the art of tower architecture and the art of sculpture.
