Photo: Manually watch the biggest moon in 20 years
On the night of 10/8, the Moon is closer to Earth than about 50,000km when it is at the farthest point from the Earth. At the closest position to the Earth, the Moon is usually 14% to 30% brighter with normal levels. This is also called the super moon phenomenon.
