Produce 100% organic biodegradable plastic bags, environmentally friendly

Many cities in India have restricted or banned the use of plastic bags completely, which has been welcomed by those interested in the environment. However, soon there is the fact that not everyone benefits from this initiative. In addition to consumers' worries about leaving things in other bags, they often forget to bring their bags for storage. Obviously, there is no denying the convenience of plastic bags.

Faced with this problem, a 25-year-old businessman named Asthwash Hedge decided to find a solution. The Mangalore-born inventor studied this problem four years ago when he designed a bag made of potatoes and cassava starch.

His company, EnviGreen , now produces 100% organic, biodegradable and environmentally friendly bags. What is special is that these bags are durable and provide the same feel as we are using plastic bags.

Qatar-based entrepreneur NRI told The Better India newspaper:

"Mangalore City made a ban on production, sales and distribution of plastic bags in 2012. But this decision was made without preparation to replace plastic bags. Everyone is interested in how they will bring the goods from the supermarket or the market home, people cannot pay for the bags that are even higher than the goods they buy, so I decided to give one Substitute products after hearing about this issue ".

Although the price of an EnviGreen bag is about 35% higher than the price of plastic bags, it is 500% cheaper than canvas bags. With an environmentally friendly product and functional use just like plastic bags, this is a very good price.

To produce these bags, all materials are converted to liquid. The mixture is then passed through six production steps to produce the final product. Currently the company has about 60 employees in Bangalore, and the factory produces about 1,000 tons of EnviGreen bags every month. Aswath explained that he and his team were inspired to empower rural farmers in Karnataka by saying that all supplies of materials came from them.

"We are also intending to distribute seeds to help farmers produce more raw materials that the production process requires."

EnviGreen bags are currently only available in Qatar and AbuDhabi, but Aswath intends to produce and distribute this product to more locations in the future.

"Bangalore alone consumes more than 30,000 tons of plastic bags per month. Therefore, we want to fully set up production facilities before starting distribution to each customer and shop owners. We has started supplying retail chains like Metro and Reliance, they will start using this bag from December 2016 ".

Every year, people discharge a lot of plastic waste into the environment to wrap around the Earth four times. Hopefully, this eco-friendly bio product will help us fix this problem.
