Professor predicts the world sinks in unrest in 2020

The development and collapse of a civilization can be predicted by simple algorithms and human civilization may also be included in this prediction, according to Professor Peter Turchin.

According to Daily Mail, Professor Peter Turchin from the University of Connecticut, USA said mathematics could explain people's behavior more accurately than what people often think.

If Mr. Turchin's calculations are correct, instabilities around the world will soon reach their maximum.

Professor Turchin is the pioneer in developing a new science-history subject called "cliodynamics". In this subject, history is regarded as another field of science.

Mr. Turchin began using mathematics to predict human behavior in the 1500 BC and the year 1,500 AD.

Three years ago, also from this algorithm, Mr. Turchin began to predict the future."My algorithm shows that unrest and violence will reach maximum levels in the 2020s."

What happens after this "maximum threshold" has not yet been determined. Professor Turchin says his theory does not predict events but only reflects trends.

The instability increased by the number of people in the "elite," in the social structure increased and the more they created distance from the poor.

"The algorithm does not predict Donald Trump's election to the US President in 2016. But it mentions the rise of social and political instability," Turchin explained.

However, Mr. Turchin said, his theory can help humankind escape the fate of death by observing the trend and stopping it before creating unpredictable problems.

"We can avoid the worst, by moving to a more peaceful path," Professor Turchin said.
