The Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Cheops or Khufu, was built around 2,560 BC. Designed by experts from the University of Leeds, Scoutek Robotics Company (UK) and Dessault Aviation Company (France), robots will penetrate deeper into this ancient wonder than any other device. used previously. It is expected to be put into use later this year. The mission of the robot is to explore a tunnel and open the door to a room that is closed from 4,500 years.

Robot being built will include a camera with optical fibers small duty to observe every corner, a device ultrasound to determine the quality of the stone and a robot 'son' maneuver may fall through gaps have 0.7 inch diameter. In addition, the robot will also use special carbon fiber and nylon wheels to prevent damage. 'Previous robots use grooves rubbing the ceiling and floor when they move. We used soft pillars to hold the walls and slide wheels to avoid damaging the tunnels , "said Shaun Whitehead, a member of the research team.

Robots are designed in such a way that they can change components depending on what is found along the tunnel. To create different parts, the design team used the 3D software provided by Dessault, and 'printed' 3D parts at Leeds University.

The robot will move down the tunnel inside the Queen's grave. Unlike the king's grave - where the tunnels lead out of the pyramid to bring his soul to the sky - the tunnels emanating from the queen's grave go deep inside the pyramid.

This is the third time a robot has been used to discover the end of the queen's tomb. In 1992, a large stone door closed the tunnel. Ten years later, another door was found behind the first door and seemed to be covering up something. So far, people have not opened this door and what is behind it remains mysterious.
