Biology teacher Karstein Erstad photographed the worms he spotted on the snow near Bergen, Norway.

' When I found worms on the snow, they seemed dead, but when I put them on my hands, I noticed they were still alive,' said Erstad, Norway's The Local news site.

The teacher Erstad initially thought that worms were crawling through the snow, but he dismissed this hypothesis when he saw snow at locations several meters deep. People in other Norwegian cities such as Lindås, Suldal and Femunden also saw the mysterious rainworm scene .

' This is an extremely rare phenomenon. It is difficult to know how many times this phenomenon has happened, but it has been recorded very few times, 'said Erstad.

Erstad's teacher said he found reports of similar strange phenomena occurring in Sweden in the 1920s. In 2011, a group of students were playing football at Galashiels school in Selkirkshire, Scotland, witnessed. suing worms from the sky to fall on their heads.
