Reverses the process of cell division

Cancer cells are detached ( Photo: BBC ) US scientists have found a way to reverse the process of cell division, which previously seemed impossible. This invention is very significant for cancer, an autoimmune cell disease that cannot be controlled.

Cell division occurs in the body millions of times a day. Because every cell division must be healthy, any DNA damage is healed first. And so 46 pairs of intracellular chromosomes must be self-equilibrated to balance its "daughter". However, both of these things have problems in cancer cells.

Researchers at the Oklahoma Medical Research Center have successfully controlled - in the laboratory - a protein called the cyclin plays a role in examining cell autolysis.

They use a chemical that immobilizes this protein and removes it from the cell. This means they reverse the process of cell division, by sending the chromosome version back to the center of the stem cell, which stops the cell's autolysis process.

Professor Jonathon Pines, cancer specialist said: " Although not yet applicable directly to cancer treatment, the study is very interesting and meaningful ."
