Canadian scientists have successfully created a billiard robot. They claim it is capable of defeating all players around the world.
Telegraph says Deep Green, the name of a robot, was invented by technical experts at Queen's University. It is made up of one arm, one billiard stick and two cameras. A computer controls all those parts. For Deep Green to win, one must put it on the billiard table.
Deep Green locates the ball and the distance from it to the target via the camera before taking the shot. Then it looks at the line along the cane with a second camera. Pictures from two cameras are compared to create the perfect shot.
However, Deep Green is not just a corner machine. Like every player, he also knows many options for a stroke. The robot also has a physical simulation software. This software helps it simulate the motion of the ball based on the force from the stick and the position where the tip of the stick touches the ball.

For those new to the game, Deep Green is the perfect tool to practice. First, the robot gives you an accurate view by projecting a laser beam along the path.
