Russian space hotel joins science

Not only serve tourists, cosmopolitan hotels that a Russian company will build also allow scientists to conduct experiments.

In 2010, Orbital Technologies, a Russian company, once announced plans to build hotels on earth orbit. As planned, the first module of the hotel will be put into orbit in 2016. This module, which includes 4 rooms and is capable of accommodating 7 people, will be built by Energia Corporation. Energia is a state-owned corporation producing missiles and space equipment.

"We are also working on a project to develop proteins in a weightless environment , " RIA Novosti quoted Sergei Kostenko, managing director of Orbital Technologies.

Proteins are macromolecules that make up the muscles, bones and internal organs of animals. They also stimulate the immune system in the body, providing immune and energy.

Space Adventures - a US-based company - is the only enterprise in the world that has a service to bring visitors to space. So far this company has brought 7 people to ISS. Mr. Kostenko is the chief representative of Space Adventures office in Russia.
