Resorts in luxury villas and hotels are about to become obsolete, when we now have the right to dream of vacation trips in space.

The US-based Gateway Foundation has revealed plans to build a space station in the style of a spacecraft orbiting Earth.

All the amenities of a normal hotel on Earth are here, except the pool. In return, customers will have a very special experience.

This project has been hatched by Russians for many years, but it is unknown if it will ever come true.

In 2010, Orbital Technologies, a Russian company, once announced plans to build hotels on earth orbit. As planned, the first module of the hotel will be put into orbit in 2016.

Russia has just announced an ambitious plan to build the first luxury hotel in space.
