56 sycamore and 5 horned trees at Pu Hoat nature reserve (Que Phong and Nghe An districts) have been honored by the Vietnam Association for Nature and Environment Protection. Among these are 3.7m in diameter, 60m high.
Pu Hoat Nature Reserve has 85,200 ha located in 9 communes of Que Phong district.This is one of the three core zones of Western Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve with a large area of primeval forest and high biodiversity.In this nature reserve, populations of oil saplings distributed in majestic natural forests running along the Vietnam-Laos border in the area of 3 communes Nam Giai, Hanh Dich and Tri Le are 1,200 - 1,800m high compared to the water level. sea.
