Sand dunes appear dense at Nha Trang beach

On August 19, the Institute of Oceanography held a meeting to discuss the problem of sandstones appearing on Nha Trang beach. Mr. Vo Sy Tuan - Director of Institute of Oceanography said that sand dunes appear at Nha Trang beach with the current density as an abnormal phenomenon.

Until now, the Institute has not studied this species, so it is not enough to explain why. It can be said, this species only causes sensory feedback, but not to a dangerous level. The only way to do that is to get the sand thorns destroyed.

Currently, the Institute has brought anatomical model. The fact that this species migrates to Nha Trang beach involves many factors, but it can be confirmed that they are not here to reproduce because the gonads of sandstones do not develop.

According to Master Nguyen An Khang - Department of Aquatic Resources Institute of Oceanography, this species has a very thin shell, which is one of four heart-shaped thorny species. Normally, sandstones only live at a depth of 1 to 180m. The spines of this species are very slender and soft, so when stabbed into the human skin it is only uncomfortable, not painful, burning or fever like other thorny species, but spitting is difficult. People often use urine (with ammonia) or lemon (with acid) applied to dissolve thorns.

It is known that all members of Nha Trang Beach Rescue Team (Nha Trang Bay Management Board) are still continuing to gather sand rafters. In the past 3 days, this force has collected about 8 sand dunes along Nha Trang beach to destroy.
