Sansa c200: The latest MP3 player costs $ 100
SanDisk has just announced that it will launch a new $ 100 Sansa c200 player around this October. This music player with 2GB of memory is capable of storing about 1,000 songs that are expected to create a new wave in the music player market.
The new player will work stably with Microsoft's Windows PlayForSure software, meaning it has the ability to download music online from vendors like RealNetworks Inc.'s Rhapsody, Napster and Yahoo! Music.
This slim and light music player has an LCD screen and an additional memory card slot that extends storage capacity and mobility.
The company said that Sansa c200 will have an introductory retail price of 99, 99USD in the US and about 79 Euro 101USD in Europe, these two product markets will appear first.
Along with Sansa c200, Sandisk will also release a 1GB music player at a price of $ 79.99. Both have image display functions.
SanDisk is currently the second-largest player in the music player market share after Apple and the world's leading manufacturer of memory cards for cameras and mobile phones.
