For the whole year, EVN can save about 2 billion kWh.

Answering PV about the real effectiveness of Earth Hour when many large hotels and restaurants still did not participate, Mr. Pham Duc Tien, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade said, Earth Hour is not a chapter. compulsive process that depends on community consciousness. Therefore, this year the city will take into account the plan to mobilize both hotels and participating restaurants.

According to Mr. Tien, in 2013, Earth Hour took place in 29 districts, in an hour, Hanoi City saved 219,000kWh, equivalent to the amount of commercial electricity a day granted to a district.

Earth Hour, initiated by the International Fund for Nature Protection (WWF), is a global initiative to raise people's awareness of climate change. Starting in 2007 in Sydney City (Australia), Earth Hour Campaign has become the largest scale action in the world, bringing together many countries and territories across the continents to join.
