Wikstroem conducted research with two groups, each with 20 elderly women about 80 years old. The results were quite positive for women who gathered once a week for four months to see and discuss the paintings.

Their attitudes are more positive, more creative, have better blood pressure, and very little constipation compared to women who gather once a week and discuss what they do. It is known that Ms. Wikstroem has studied the effects of art on human health since the 1980s.
