Due to the size of only 68 x 30 x 13 mm, the MF-DU204G - Elecom's smallest mobile hard drive in the world - is easy to lose but the password setting feature will ensure important data do not fall into the wrong hands.
MF-DU204G weighs 44g but the capacity is up to 4 GB. However, the product is only compatible with Microsoft operating system from Windows 98 and later versions. The device will first appear in Japan with blue and silver later this month, the price is expected to be 220 USD.
USB drives are now compact and convenient but often have low storage capacity. Large-capacity MP3 players have partly solved the problem, but they are still too expensive for flash memory. Many companies have launched hybrid products between hard drive and USB but their size is still not small enough to please customers.
