Glass with variable properties, named smart glass , made from liquid crystals. Dark glass panels have been used in office partition design. Just press the button is the meeting room or working corner . change color when the owner wants to have a 'private corner'.

The secret of this ability lies in the special organic compound placed between two glass panels, which makes the glass change color. The glass has a transparent state without being provided with an electric current. But just press the switch to turn on the normal glass layer will turn dark blue and become dark. When the power is turned off, the glass disappears and returns to the normal transparent state.
Russian scientists say that their smart glasses will be 10 times cheaper than products of foreign partners, will even compete with both types of blinds.
A US airline has used this type of glass as an airplane window instead of a conventional curtain. Car manufacturers apply smart glasses to rear mirrors, helping to protect the eyes from bright headlights. However, the above products all have high prices. A square meter of smart glass is worth about 700 USD, so Russian scientists want to adjust the price factor.
Vice President of Moscow National University, Alexei Khokhlov, said Russia's smart glass advantage was built on organic molecular compounds. This method of technology is higher and cheaper.
