Smartphone makes you forgetful and rude?
Smartphones are making things easier. However, in many cases, they are the source of dementia and rude behavior.
Undeniably smartphones are changing the way we work and entertain. Obviously we love this smart device.
A study by mobile security firm Lookout found that nearly all smartphone owners (94%) were worried about losing their phones and 73% were frightened to forget the phone on Time magazine.
While making things more convenient, the smartphone is also the source of dementia and rude behavior. For example, smartphone owners have a habit of driving while texting and every 1 out of 4 people says they check their phones while driving.
Smartphone can be the cause of distraction and rudeness in users.
What do you think when reading the data published by Lookout:
- Nearly 60% of smartphone users don't spend an hour without checking their phones.
- 54% checked the phone on the bed, before going to bed, after waking up or in the middle of the night. And every 1 in 5 people check the phone right after doing 'that'.
- Nearly 40% check phones when going to the toilet.
- About 30% check the phone while eating with other people.
A new survey by market research firm Kelton Research also offers 'interesting' figures: 59% of surveyed people say they are ready to go to the toilet to find a phone. It is not the only crazy thing they will do if they face the risk of losing their phone.
The survey showed that about 3 out of 5 people will use unimaginable methods to find the phone again. Specifically, 63% of respondents said they would unload their trash if their phones were lost.
Some people were willing to risk their lives on the phone: 25% said they would fight a thief, 17% said they would take the train track and 12% said they would cross the red light to find phone again.
