Snow cubes curled between Scottish fields

Specially shaped snowballs formed by the wind blow in combination with many other natural elements.

A citizen photographed a special shaped snow block in Glassford, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, BBC on January 17 reported. This is just one of many snowballs that appear on the fields in this area.

"The wind blows snowflakes rolling on the ground, eventually creating a sphere. It's a natural snow globe," explained weather forecaster Christopher Blanchett.

When rolling on the ground, snow blocks become more and more snowy and gradually form a cylinder. Snow rolls are very diverse in size, from small as tennis balls to big ones like cars.

The necessary conditions for them to form are sticky snow, strong winds and low temperatures . People often see snow blocks rolling at the bottom of the hill because the slope creates favorable conditions for the wind to blow snow down.
