Solar dishwasher by Tay Nguyen teachers

Seeing the dishwashers in the market are mainly imported and high-priced products, the teacher Tran Dinh Huan in Kontum built a dishwasher that uses solar water heating.

The work of teacher Huan entered the top 15 technical solutions in the final round of the 2014 Patent Contest. Mr. Huan shared: "Washing dishes is the work that makes many housewives hesitate. Vietnam is a tropical country. , a lot of solar energy, suitable for this machine based on this energy source ".

The structure of the machine consists of 4 main parts: solar water heater system; hot water faucet with automatic on / off valve, timer and nozzle; machine shaft, dish rack; body frame, case.

Mr. Huan said that the machine works on the principle of using the propulsion of a hot water source such as a turbine in the engine. When dishes are placed in the rotating rack in the machine, water is sprayed with high pressure sprayed into place. Hot water dissolves grease and food that sticks to it, without using electricity. Because the machine works based on the water's propulsion, in case there is no hot water, housewives can still use normal temperature water with detergent to clean the bowl.

The size of the dishwasher is equivalent to a washing machine, operating automatically according to the timer, from 15 to 20 minutes for each dishwashing. Each time you use it, you must rinse leftovers before putting dishes in the frame. The maximum capacity for a wash is 30 bowls and other tools such as ladles and chopsticks and consumes 40 to 50 liters of water for each wash.

The machine has an open top lid, the dish rack is designed in accordance with each type, is not obscured, so it is easily cleaned and the tools can be washed.

This invention has been evaluated by the organizers of the competition as being derived from practical needs, not spending too much capital but being applied in many households in different localities. With the price not too high, Mr. Huan's dishwasher was used by many families from Kon Tum to Ho Chi Minh City. The machine is being further refined in style to put into mass production.

Despite being busy with educational management, Mr. Huan is still very passionate about inventions. Previously, Mr. Huan used to pump water using water power, was granted a patent by the National Office of Intellectual Property and was granted a patent by Vietnam Science Union. In addition to the dishwasher, he also invented the Automatic Detergent System for dishwashers and washing machines.

"From the farmer to the teacher, anyone can be an inventor if the product makes it useful for life," Mr. Huan said.
