On the evening of September 29 in Hanoi, 20 outstanding individuals and 50 collectives received the typical typical commendation for environmental protection in the period of 2011-2015 organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. These individuals and collectives have many initiatives and contributions, helping to promote the movement of the entire population to protect the environment.

Among the individuals who were honored were teacher Nguyen Ngoc Hai , a biology teacher at An Lac Thon High School (Soc Trang). Nearly 20 years with the podium, Mr. Hai and the Club students I love the environment, always passionate about scientific research, have many innovations to improve the environment. Many feasible topics come from their ideas such as treating rainwater, treating coal smoke, collecting domestic waste to make organic fertilizer.

The teachers and teachers of An Lac Thon High School won more than 60 local awards to the central government, including the theme chosen to represent Vietnam to attend the international level environmental competition in Sweden. Many students succeed from the topics instructed by the teacher. But every time I received an invitation to come to Hanoi, my teachers and students were hesitant because of the expensive travel and eating expenses.

In particular, in 2012 teachers and students had two topics winning the National Contest on improving the use and protection of water resources, "Filtering water with charcoal shells" and "Treating wastewater with a multi-purpose filtration system ' . Without funding to come to the capital, Mr. Hai borrowed money to allow the students to agree to go to Hanoi to receive the prize.

"Establishing a club, I hope you have a playground, spend time for scientific research, creativity for the environment. Educating children is the most sustainable and effective measure to protect. Since its founding, every month we have an environmental theme such as water pollution, air pollution, harms of nylon bags for exchange, and then apply to research topics. " , Mr. Hai said.

Other individuals and collectives are commended for having many practical applications in environmental protection, such as Dang Tran Quang, a Vietnamese-German high school student (Hanoi) who received a certificate of merit from the 2015 Central Committee for achievements. Awarding three national science and technology competitions for high school students. Mr. Truong Minh, a garbage collection team in Duc Phong commune, Mo Duc (Quang Ngai) won the third prize of the National Farming Technical Innovation Contest in 2013 with a closed waste treatment model. The family of Mrs. Do Thi Nho (Phu Ly, Ha Nam) won the prize for waste classification.

Appreciating the initiatives of individuals and organizations for the environment, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai also stressed that Vietnam is facing urban pollution, rural invasion waste, many facilities. causing serious pollution, especially poison from the war. There are still many organizations and individuals that intentionally or unintentionally for personal gain but sacrifice the interests of the community.
