More than 600 scientists attend the Asia Remote Sensing Conference

On November 1, at the My Dinh National Convention Center, the opening ceremony of the 31st Asia Remote Sensing Conference (ACRS) took place. This is a large-scale scientific conference with the participation of more than 600 scientists, managers from Asian and North American countries.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Standing Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Van Duc emphasized: ' In recent days, a series of natural disasters in many parts of Asia such as floods in Vietnam and Thailand; Volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis in Indonesia have caused great damage to people and affect the environment . "

The organizers have received more than 400 scientific reports on urgent and hot issues for all countries in the world such as climate change, sea level rise and natural disasters. This demonstrates the special interest of the scientists on the topics mentioned at the Conference.

The conference is an important occasion for Vietnamese and international scientists to share experiences and learn from each other about the advanced technologies of remote sensing GIS not only in the field of natural disasters but also in activities. economic dynamics.

The conference will last until November 5.
