Son La Hydropower received three Asian energy awards

Vietnam Electricity Corporation (EVN) and Alstom Group - the electromechanical supplier of Son La Hydropower Plant - were awarded three awards at the Asian Energy Awards ceremony. 2013 organized by Asian Energy Magazine, a prestigious organization in the world energy sector in Bangkok, Thailand.

Three awards include: Gold Award for the title "Fast-to-be-deployed Power Plant of the Year," "Hydropower Project of the Year" and "Power Company of the Year" award.

Previously, the Club of Science and Technology Journalists of Vietnam voted to build Son La Hydropower Plant which is one of 10 outstanding scientific and technological events in 2012.

Of the 22 Asian Energy Awards 2013, only two projects are Son La Hydropower Plant (Vietnam) and Hubei Xisaishan Coal-fired Thermal Power Plant achieved three awards at the same time.

According to Asian Energy Magazine, this year 34 Asian companies participated in the competition and 22 awards were awarded.

The evaluation and selection of award winning units are based on the following criteria: Innovation - The work has to do with strategies, services or products different from other units; Efficiency - Benefits to the market; Flexibility - flexibility with changes and progressive opportunities presented in the unit's strategy, service or product.

In addition to Son La Hydropower Plant, Vietnam also has Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant to attend and receive two awards, the Bronze Award for the 'Coal Project of the Year' and the Bronze Award for the category 'Power Plant. rapid deployment of the year ".

The Asian Energy Awards are held every year since 2005 to honor the region's leading power companies with the most outstanding projects and important implications for the energy sector.
