This is the assessment of Maplecroft's 193 countries, a British company specializing in risk analysis. Maplecroft studies the severity of extreme weather events - such as droughts, tornadoes, forest fires and storms - of each country. From the results of their research, the index of vulnerability to climate change (CCVI), The Indian Express said.

'Some countries are still particularly affected, although climate change is only at a relatively low level , ' the authors commented.

A weak economy, inadequate for health care and corruption also hinders efforts to address the impact of climate change on society.

In contrast, Iceland, Finland, Ireland, Sweden and Estonia tops the list of countries with the lowest risk. Except for Israel and the two oil-rich countries, Qatar and Bahrain, the 20 least affected countries belong to North and Central Europe.

China and the United States are the world's top two countries for carbon emissions, but they are among the countries facing medium and low risks.

Recent studies - published in a special report by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and will be published in November - show strong evidence. the link between global warming and extreme weather events.
