Space technology helps forecast meteorology and pollution control
The development of space technologies not only helps to realize the Chinese government's space dream but can also be used in the meteorological and pollution control industry. A meteorologist working for China's manned spaceship program has just confirmed this.
'The space program should have an absolute and accurate level of meteorological forecasting. We need specialized information on speed, intensity, wind direction and cloud formation, 'said Li Yonhui, Director of the Meteorological Station controlling unmanned space ships of the Guard Center. Xi'an says.
Li said space technology will be used in meteorological forecasting services for large-scale events like the Olympics. 'We can predict climate change at a stadium exactly at a particular time,' he said.
This technology can also be used to control pollution.
'For example, if we were going to build a chemical plant, this technology could help measure the speed of movement and assess the importance of pollution,' Li explained.
