Spotted the toad after 90 years
Scientists from Malaysia have found a species of rainbow toad after nearly 90 years they disappeared from human sight.
Bornean rainbow toad.
This rainbow toad has not been seen since 1924, so Professor Indraneil Das and colleagues from the University of Malaysia Sarawak decided to look for rainbow toads in August last year, but after several months results, until his group reached the Penrissen Mountains, in Borneo.
AP said, three toads were found on three separate trees, including a male, an adult female and an adult.
Mr. Das refused to reveal the exact area that the team discovered rainbow toads because of concerns about illegal hunting. Scientists will continue to learn more about this toad and other amphibians in Penrissen.
