Stimulate brain by electricity to learn Math better

Electrical brain stimulation can enhance people's mathematical abilities for 6 months and more - new research by British neurologists.

Scientists at Oxford University conducted research on 15 volunteer students aged 20-21. Volunteers are taught many symbols that represent different values, and then scientists will time students to complete a series of math quizzes based on symbols. Teaching takes place for 6 days, and electrical stimuli are performed for 20 minutes / day.

' We do not recommend that people create their own electric shocks. But we are very happy because of the findings of human potential, especially the fundamental changes in the brain. Electric stimulation can't turn you into a new Einstein, but it can help some people improve their mathematical ability, 'said Cohen Kadosh, head of the research team.

' No pain, it's just the tingling sensation in your skull ' - scientist Kadosh said. He also added that no volunteers had side effects from stimulation.

The results published in Current Biology show that electric-stimulated volunteers from the right brain to the left lobe of the brain improve the best math ability.

' The results of this study will be widely used to stimulate the brain in many other areas. It will also open the door to treating a range of mental and neurological problems, 'said Christopher Chamber of the University of Cardiff School of Psychology.
