The team conducted a series of experiments to test this strange disease. They concluded that women with a rare disease called the mirror-touch synesthesia . This is one of the mysterious neurotic syndromes that makes people feel all the other people feel.

For example, if this woman sees another person being hugged, it is her body that feels the hug.

Scientists believe that this phenomenon is caused by reflective neurons , which are nerve cells in the brain that are capable of copying similar reactions when they see an action, according to Oddity Central.

Experiments show that whenever DC sees people tickling, she will laugh uncontrollably, as if she herself is being tickled. That feeling was so real that she had to rub her armpit with her hand to reduce the feeling of tickling. The scientists also found the most stimulating tickling sensation when she was able to review videos that recorded her own tickle.

In addition, experiments showed that she could also feel the feelings of others when they saw them touching velvet, brushes, silk and the surface of the board. However, when she saw other people touching the ice, she just felt wet, not cold, according to Oddity Central.
