'Stunned' with flounder weighing 232kg
A Norwegian fisherman recalled that when the fish bitten, he thought he was pulling up a submarine.
With weight up to 232kg, it took Marco Liebenow 90 minutes to pull this "big" fish to shore. However, his boat was too small to accommodate a 2.75 meter long fish. So Liebenow and three friends tied the fish tail and brought it to the harbor with a crane.
David Bottcher, representative of the fishing tourism association Angelreisen Hamburg, said: "Marco did not speak English but he confessed that he was happy to catch this giant fish. When the fish bite, he thought he had pulled. must be a submarine because it's too big ".
Liebenow then sent a request to recognize the record to the International Fishing Association and is awaiting confirmation of the organization.
