Stunned with strange sea creatures, mouths like humans

An Australian man named Drew Lambert was jogging on Bondi Beach in Sydney when he came across a strange sea creature.

The animal was nearly half a meter long, had 'human' lips and 'shark' skin, Lambert told Yahoo News.

Many people were surprised and curious about this strange sea creature. Many comments on social networks have theorized about this creature. Some people think it is an alien animal. It was thought that the gray and smooth skin belonged to a shark, but this theory was quickly disproved because it did not have a dorsal fin on the head like a shark.

This is essentially an Australian stingray.

Laetitia Hannan, a supervisor at the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, later confirmed that it was indeed a "Coffin ray", also known as the Australian stingray or the Australian pangolin. The bulging appearance is the result of a decomposition process that fills the body with gas.

"Coffin ray" belongs to the genus Hypnos and the family Hypnidae. This is a species endemic to Australia, often common in shallow coastal waters.
