Sunday night this week Lyrids meteor shower is coming
The night of 22nd and the morning of April 23 (Sunday night this week), Vietnamese astronomers will have the opportunity to admire the Lyrids meteor shower (also known as Thien Cam meteor shower).
The Lyrids meteor shower is made up of dust particles left by comet C / 1861 G1 Thatcher , usually appearing April 16-25, peaking on the night of April 22 and dawn.
The meteor streaks often appear in the constellation sky crowded sky.
The Lyrids are an average meteor shower with about 15-20 meteors per hour. However, history has noted that the Lyrids meteorite 'exploded' in the sky like 1982, Lyrids meteor shower reaches 180-300 meteor stars in just minutes or 1922 meteor shower reaches 100 streaks hours.
The meteor streaks often appear in the constellation sky crowded sky. Observing the Lyrids meteor shower will not be much affected by the moonlight. The best observation time is after midnight when the celestial constellation has grown high. The observer looked toward the winter sky, chose a place with less light and air pollution. Note that you should see the weather forecast before observing.
After the Lyrids meteor shower, in May astronomers will have the opportunity to admire the Bao Binh meteor shower, a fairly large meteor shower.
