The sky over the Changbai Mountains on the Chinese-Korean border glistened by the Lyrids meteor shower, one of the largest meteor showers of the year, named after the constellation Lyra, according to the Guardian.

Lyrids meteor shower takes place from April 16 to 25 every year and peaks on the night of April 22 or 23, with about 15-20 meteors per hour. It forms when Thatcher comets crumble into the Earth's atmosphere and burn, creating colorful rays in the night sky.
