US scientists have introduced super-waterproof surfaces, allowing the design of water-proof, anti-stain and other products that are capable of cleaning almost any liquid.

According to a report in the American Chemical Society, experts from the University of Michigan (USA) have announced the progress in their work to create superficial two-line surfaces that are liquid Newtonian and non-Newton liquid.

Newton liquids are free-flowing substances like water, while non-Newton liquids, such as yogurt, sauces and other polymer solutions, are denser and flow much slower than Newton liquids.

Anish Tuteja of the University of Michigan and colleagues say, new surfaces are made to resist water, including acid and basalt roots, oils and alcohol with extremely low surface tension, solvents and many types. polymer solution.

Water-resistant surfaces are defined as surfaces that can cause many types of liquids to form particles and roll off surfaces without being spread.

Almost all liquids can easily roll off surfaces, allowing the design of anti-fouling, waterproof but still cool clothes, as well as antibacterial surfaces, such as protective gear.
