Superstitious conceptions around eclipse

Hiding women and children, fasting, planting trees are three of the superstitious conceptions of eclipses.

According to the conception of some cultures, women and children should stay indoors when the eclipse takes place. Many places believe that babies born during solar eclipses will turn into mice, according to Space.com.

Fast

In some parts of India, people fast during the solar eclipse. The reason is that they believe that any food cooked during this time is not pure, even toxic.
