Switzerland: Hackers cheat 1.1 million USD
One of the world's largest online frauds has been reported by a Swiss bank, according to which 250 customers of the bank are victims of account theft of up to $ 1.1 million. .
Nordea, the Swiss bank, said criminals have illegally transferred money from customer accounts after obtaining login information using a password-stealing program.
Specifically in the attack, hackers used a trojan program called haxdoor.ki. This is a very sophisticated password stealing program and very difficult to detect.
The victim is tempted to download a software program after receiving a fake Nordea e-mail, which encourages them to download the program that is said to be anti-spam. Once installed on the computer, the trojan will track all users' online activity.
It is known that none of Nordea's customers were damaged in the attack because the bank compensated all the money stolen by hackers.
