All three newly discovered kangaroo species belong to the extinct kangaroo genus Protemnodon that lived on the Australian continent, between 5 million and 40,000 years ago.
The giant short-faced Kangaroo can reach 2.7 m high and weighs 240 kg when it matures, twice as large as the largest living kangaroo.
More than forty thousand years ago, the wilderness of Australia was also once inhabited by a powerful animal - ancient Kangaroos that are gigantic in size.
Modern kangaroo ancestors may be more fortunate than a group of kangaroo with fangs to attract mates in a survival war.
