NASA's Spitzer space telescope captured the fiery moment of a giant mass of gas and dust that spanned more than 500 light-years.

The image was compiled based on data from many satellites showing the special shape of the Horsehead Nebula 1,500 light-years from Earth.

Star Tabby is about 1,500 light-years from Earth, slightly larger and hotter than the Sun.
