Hidden beneath the waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea near southwestern Italy is a newly discovered volcanic complex, dotted with geothermal chimneys and subturned peaks.

Scientists are tasked with collecting data and specimens on the seabed to determine when these large volcanoes will be formed and find out if these volcanoes are still active.
