Take omega-3 and exercise to help lose weight effectively
A team of Australian researchers has demonstrated that exercise combined with omega-3-rich fish liver oil tablets can help with weight loss and improve health.
To reach this conclusion, Dr. Peter Rowe and colleagues from the University of South Australia invited 75 adults who were obese (BMI over 25) to participate in the trial within 12 weeks.
The first group uses 6g fish liver oil every day, the second group also uses fish liver oil with the same dose with 45 minutes of exercise 3 times a week, the third group uses sunflower oil tablets (contains no omega- 3) and do not exercise, the fourth group uses sunflower oil tablets with exercise as the second group.
As a result, volunteers of two fish liver oil groups improved cholesterol, triglyceride levels and cardiovascular activity, and the group using fish liver combined with exercise lost significant weight. Researchers concluded that fish liver oil and exercise may be the best way for people who want to lose weight.
