Exercise to lose weight immediately after birth is useless
Participating in heavy exercise programs to regain the postpartum is a waste of time, the German researchers announced.

" We found mothers would immediately lose a portion of their weight after the baby was born, and reduce the rest within 3 to 6 months after birth, without training ," said Professor Peter Sawicki, team leader. Research at the German Institute for Quality and Effectiveness of Health Care, said.
Trying to lose weight as soon as possible can also increase stress in the mother and adversely affect breastfeeding. " The most suitable physical activity for a postpartum mother is walking ," the professor said.
