Le Monde newspaper recently published 'Bangkok is sinking into the sea', which warns that by 2030, part of the Thai capital will be flooded.

According to a Thai disaster prevention official, if the government does not act early, Bangkok will be engulfed by 2030.

Le Monde said, in the past, there were many canals, gardens and rice fields in this area, so a large amount of flood water was released. Over time, with the speed of urbanization, people have built many buildings on these plots, so there is no escape from flood waters.
