The 14-year-old boy has an old face

The little boy Ali in India had to see five brothers and sisters leave because of the same disease called Progeria, currently there are only 80 cases in the world.

The pediatrician is extremely rare and has little data so most doctors are less aware. This disease causes age to go away quickly and people with the disease are very susceptible to arthritis, eye problems, cardiovascular problems and baldness. The patient was also less likely to survive the age of 14. However, despite all diagnoses, Ali did not give up hope.

The boy said: 'I really want to live and I hope there will be a cure for this disease somewhere. I am not afraid of death but my parents have suffered a lot. I want to live longer than them. I don't want to be a burden to my parents with any more pain. '

Ali's parents, Nabi Hassain Khan, 50, and Razia, 46, are cousins. They are the product of family-arranged marriage and have lived together for 32 years.

Ali's parents have a total of 8 children. In all, the first four children all died of pediatric diseases between the ages of 12 and 24. The fifth child died within 24 hours of birth and was also diagnosed with a similar disease. Two healthy daughters, Sanjeeda, 20, were married and the youngest daughter Chanda, 10 years old, did not suffer from the disease.

After the first two children had strange symptoms, they took their children to the hospital, but the doctors all gave up because they had never encountered any similar cases. Mr. Nabi confessed: 'If there is a doctor tell me that my child has a genetic disease, we probably will not give birth anymore. But nobody said anything. ' Both continue to have more children in the hope of having healthy children. Their wishes were returned when they gave birth to their daughter Sanjeeda.

In 1995, after years of meeting different doctors, a consultant in Kolkata, India, finally diagnosed four Nabi's children with pediatric disease and affirmed that the disease could not be cured. .

The lives of 5 unlucky children are even more difficult when they are mocked and put up nicknames such as 'big eyed boy ' or 'Patlu' (stunted). As a result, they all had to quit school.

Ali weighs only 10kg, saying: 'We are not childhoods, we are all locked up in the house and playing together. We have no life. When we go to school we are punished and ridiculed, nicknamed, you intentionally harm us. We are not fat, our lungs are small, breathing is very difficult. '

'I want to be an ordinary person who can play, go to school, join some sports, take a little risk…'.

Ali is currently the only surviving pediatrician in the family. When his brother, Ikramul, died four years ago, Ali collapsed completely: 'Ikramul is my best friend, I was very young when other siblings left, so only Ikramul and I were long lived. than. He is very strong and does not pay attention to bullies. When he died, I cried weekly and could not eat or drink anything. But then I realized that it would be unfair for Ikramul if I collapsed now. Now I don't have anyone to be friends, but I still have to be strong. '

Currently Ali and his parents have been supported by SB Devi, Kolkata, charity fund. Chandan Chattopadhyay, a pediatrician in Kolkata, introduced Ali's family to the organization and they helped Ali pay all medical expenses.
