The 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics names the global poverty reduction effort
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences on October 14 recognized Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo and Michael Kremer as the winners of the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics.
The Guardian reported that the three scientists are pursuing an experimental approach to global poverty reduction . Despite recent dramatic improvements, one of humanity's most pressing problems is to reduce global poverty in all its forms.
More than 700 million people currently live on extremely low incomes. Every year, about 5 million children under the age of 5 die from diseases that can be prevented or cured with low-cost treatments. Half of the world's children do not have basic literacy and numeracy skills.
The authors of the Nobel Prize for Economics 2019 point out a new approach that involves dividing the problem into smaller questions, such as the most effective interventions to improve children's educational or health outcomes. calling somebody younger than you meaning you.

In the mid-1990s, Michael Kremer, 54, and colleagues demonstrated how this approach worked. This person uses field experiments to test a range of interventions that can improve learning outcomes in Western Kenya.
Meanwhile, Mr. Abhijit Banerjee, 58, and Esther Duflo, 46, also studied issues similar to Mr. Kremer. Both work at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, while Mr. Kremer works at Harvard University.
Duflo explained the work of the three men focused on understanding the deep roots of poverty."Our approach is to solve each problem individually and test them as scientifically as possible" - Ms. Duflo said.
According to her, the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics also recognizes hundreds of researchers working on global poverty. It is a movement much larger than what the trio is pursuing.
