The plan to build a tower of more than 200 floors in the United Arab Emirates was announced on October 5.

According to Christopher O'Donnell, Nakheel chief executive, the new tower will have about 150 elevators and "consume" about 500 thousand cubic meters of concrete. Nakheel hopes that its seaport, with a 1-kilometer high building in the center, will become Dubai's unofficial capital.
