The first aircraft will likely be available in the market by 2015, giving people an option to move in the air.

Terrafugia, a company based in Massachusetts, announces that it is about to complete its first "car-and-air" prototype. With two seats, four wheels and two wings, the TF-X can slip into a garage. Thanks to the rotor on the wing, it can fly upright like a helicopter without a runway, Tech News Daily reported.
The TF-X's ability to fly like a helicopter means that the operator can fly from the house, the parking lot or the street - an ideal feature for people who are trapped due to traffic congestion.
According to Terrafugia, their first car could carry four people and fly 800km. It may appear on the market from 2015.
The TF-X has not tested yet and the company has not yet announced its price. Since it is a motorized vehicle, the pilot must have a pilot license to fly it.
