At least 25 people were killed and 250 injured in an earthquake yesterday in the area near the border with Myanmar in China's Yunnan province.
According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake of 5.4 Richter scale occurred at 12:58 (local time) with the epicenter 34 km deep in Doanh Giang district. However, Chinese experts confirmed that the magnitude 5.8 earthquake and the epicenter were only 10 km from the ground.
Currently, the Yunnan provincial government is rapidly deploying the rescue and keeping order in the area of natural disasters.
