Tokyo shakes because of the earthquake
A magnitude 6 earthquake shook the Japanese capital buildings early this morning. Officials say there is no risk of tsunamis.

The people of Tokyo awoke at 5:00 am by the earthquake. The epicenter near Izu Oshima island, southwest of Tokyo, AFP quoted the Tokyo Meteorological Agency as saying. This is the strongest earthquake near Tokyo since the aftershocks in the serious earthquake in March 2011.
The US Geological Survey said the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.8 degrees Ricter and at a depth of 155km. NHK broadcaster said there has been no announcement of damage or injury, but warning of aftershocks, people should be cautious.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Electric Power Company, which manages the Fukushima nuclear power plant, said there were no signs of abnormalities in the reactors.
Earlier last month, the Japan Meteorological Agency measured tsunamis from 10 to 40 cm high in the coast of Iwate province. Small tsunamis were also recorded in several other locations in northern Japan after a very strong earthquake of magnitude 8.2 in Richter in Chile.
